We would not be able to deliver our vital services without our wonderful volunteers. Our volunteers help to make the services we deliver fun and engaging for all! They provide us with practical support and help to keep us relevant to the community we work in. We’re always looking for enthusiastic people to volunteer with us, and it doesn’t have to be a big commitment.

DBS Checks

Because most volunteer roles at BD4 Family or our Gems project involve working with children or adults at risk of harm, all our roles require a Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check. This means that police records including warnings, reprimands and convictions are checked before people can start volunteering with us. If you have a criminal record, a risk assessment will take place to make sure volunteering at BD4 Community Trust is suitable. Please see our DBS FAQ to find out more about DBS checks. DBS checks for volunteers are free, you will not be charged for a DBS check.

"I have been a volunteer at BD4 Community Trust for so many years. Being a part of BD4 Community Trust has made me feel like I belong and feel excepted, which I never thought I would.
