We are fully committed to implementing our legal responsibilities and therefore we work within a robust framework that confirms to the expected standards of legislation from all regulatory bodies and statutory organisations. This framework is used to positively enhance the quality of care of we provide, forms the basis of all training provided and is reviewed on a regular basis.

BD4 Community Trust (BD4CT) is committed to promoting the welfare of children and adults at risk and safeguarding them from harm. We believe that every child has the right to grow, develop and thrive in a safe environment, that every vulnerable adult should receive appropriate support to ensure their needs are met and that all individuals involved in BD4CT have a right to enjoy the activities we offer in a safe and caring environment.
The welfare and quality of life of every person involved in BD4CT is important to us and safeguarding children and adults at risk is our highest priority. Safeguarding is a thread that runs through all that we do and fits with our aim of improving the quality of life for the residents of East Bowling and beyond. We work in close partnership with individuals, parents and carers when considering safeguarding needs, adopting a supportive approach, and seeking consent wherever possible if a referral to social care is necessary.
This policy and accompanying procedures and handbook have been developed to ensure that all staff, trustees, and volunteers have the guidance, training and support to uphold our commitment and fulfil our responsibilities to safeguard children and adults at risk from harm.
