Befriending

Supporting and Restoring Community Across the Generations.

We’re really excited to be able to offer this new service to our Gems service users, who are no longer able to attend activities with us at the centre.

In partnership with Bradford and District Befriending Network, BD4 Community Trust now supports older people over 55 who would benefit from a befriender, helping to reduce social isolation and increase wellbeing. We match one of our dedicated and friendly volunteers with people who would benefit from a visit for an hour each week. In the nicer weather our Befrienders will offer supported outings, such as visits to the local park or coffee shops.

If you think you or someone you know would benefit from this service, more information can be found at www.bradforddistrictbefriending.org or by contacting Mel at BD4 Community Trust on 01274 729293 or via email mel@bd4communitytrust.org.uk
